Burial society sales consultant

Burial Society requires a Sales consultant with previous Financial Services Industry experience. 

Core objectives will be 
• Obtaining and retaining high quality new business from clients within the market.
• Maintaining and meeting existing clients to evaluate their current needs or benefit profiles and provide benefit solutions and advisory services. 


KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS (Main outputs of the job) 

• Visit and market the company to prospective brokers and clients. 
• To obtain quotes, negotiate benefit improvements and appropriate rates for brokers and clients. 
• Secure new business with current and/or new brokers and clients. 
• Train the brokers our products. 
• Deliver after sales service and support to brokers and clients. 
• Ensure the policy is performing adequately within three months of inception. 
• Provide professional and quality services and advice to brokers and clients. 
• Ensure broker and client satisfaction, retention and expansion. 
• Preparation of reports providing feedback on your progress with sales. 

WORKING EXPERIENCE (Minimum required) 

• 1-3 years sales experience in the financial / insurance services industry 
• Sound knowledge of the Financial Services Industry, with preference for Funeral Benefits 
• Able to deal with senior managers and or executives including FD, MD and CEO’s 

Relevant insurance qualification 
Relevant Sales & Marketing Diploma/Degree 
Working awareness of the FAIS Act 
Computer Literacy - Ability to work with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint & Excel is essential. 
Valid driver’s license and motor vehicle. 
1-3 years sales experience in the financial / insurance services industry 
Sound knowledge of the Financial Services Industry, with preference for Funeral Benefits 
Able to deal with senior managers and or executives including FD, MD and CEO’s
