Our client, a major player in the fruit industry, requires the services of young and dynamic person to procure decidious fruit in support of marketing requirements. This person will be stationed in Bellville.

Competencies:

• Relevant farming qualification (Agriculture / Business)
• Sound knowledge of the fruit value chain
• Business acumen
• Excellent communication and negotiating skills
• Experience in the procurement of fruit, preferably in Ceres area
• Extremely goal-orientated
• Technical knowledge of fruit, preferably Pome

Key Performance Areas:

• Implement the integrated strategic direction for our client and ensure alignment with the strategies of the Division.
• Grow, maintain and improve the Deciduous grower base supplying fruit to Capespan SA ensuring that the procurement is in line with marketing requirements of the Fruit Division’s Marketing entities and that producer’s income is maximised.
• Maintain and improve the quality profile within CSSA Deciduous growers.
• Manage Producer Loans & MPG’s / fixed deals.
• Manage accurate weekly crop estimates and packing of programs.
