Working hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 16:30, including evening and Saturday shifts according to a roster.

Duties:
· Performing lending, short-loan, interlibrary loan and administrative duties
· dealing with general enquiries and client services within the Circulation Division.

Requirements:
· Senior Certificate
· at least three years’ relevant library experience
· a good command of both Afrikaans and English • computer proficiency in the Windows environment
· a client service orientation
· excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to co-operate successfully within a team
· ability to work independently
· accuracy
· adaptability in the work environment.

Recommendations:
· Relevant experience gained within an academic library
· knowledge of the Aleph computer system and the Sabinet Request interlibrary loan system.

Commencement of duties: 1 March 2012 or as soon as possible thereafter
