Our client, based in Citrusdal, in the Citrus fruit production and export marketing industry requires the services of a dynamic individual for a suitably qualified person with a proven management record and good leadership skills for the role as Production Manager Purpose: To manage the full production of approximately 120 ha citrus

Reports to: General Manager (Production)

COMPETENCIES REQUIRED

Key requirements

• Computer literacy (Excel, Agriport/QX 5 Degrees)
• Good numeracy skills
• Ability to operate independently and as part of a team
• Strong Leader & Staff Motivator
• Code 10 vehicle license
• Attention to detail
• Ability to work under pressure and against deadlines
• Ability & willingness to work long hours
• Ability to communicate at all levels
• Good spoken and written communication
• A work ethic that is emphasised through accuracy, thoroughness, energy, drive, perseverance, timeous completion, initiative and integrity.

Educational requirements

• Grade 12 and Relevant B- degree or Agricultural Certificate with at least 3-5 years citrus production experience.
