Regional legal officer

• Legal qualification with at least a 4 year LLB Degree
• Experience in the field of Labour Law, alternatively sound Labour Law knowledge specifically with regard to Bargaining Councils and collective agreements
• Sound knowledge and / or experienence of dispute resolution
• Knowledge of the civil procedure is essential
• Valid Driver's Licence
• Computer literacy (Word & Excel)
• Ability to interpret and apply / enforce agreements
• Above average verbal and written communication and listening skills
• Excellent communication and people skills
• Good analytical skills with attention to detail
• Strong negotiation and report writing skills
• Excellent administration skills
• Good organisational and planning skills
• Ability to manage a Regional Legal Department
• Manage claims instituted against an establishment as a result of legal action
• Representation in conciliation and arbitration hearing cases
• Case management and quality control of Regional legal activities
• Liaise, communicate and give instructions to external legal service providers
• Verification of legal costs incurred by the region
• Compile and submit monthly reports
