The successful candidate will be responsible for:
• Writing news articles in Afrikaans and Eglish
• Taking photographs • Liaising with correspondents • Building a netwerk of good contacts in the Goldfields
The successful candidate must meet the following requirements:
• Proven Afrikaans and English writing and editing skills
• Suitable tertiary qualification • A lively interest in current affairs • A good judgement of what is newsworthy • Must be able to work under pressure • Have excellent human relations as well as a good temperament • Ability to work independently as well as in a team • Willing to work irregular hours • Valid driver’s licence and willing to travel long distances
