Key Responsibilities will include:

• Individuals: Completion of return of income, including submission of return to receiver, and calculations of provisional tax payments and ensuring execution of same
• Timeous data capture of all relevant data on tax management tools
• Check assessments and follow-up on errors
• Raise objections to assessments, and attend to enquiries raised by SARS
• Request and remit payments and attend to refund cheques from SARS
• Provide an advisory service w.r.t. interpretation of Income Tax act
• To provide a tax and consulting service to clients from time to time
• Individuals: Make recommendations w.r.t. effect tax planning and provide feedback to advisors and clients from time to time

Key requirement of the job are:

• Previous experience in similar function a requirement, with proven track record, minimum of 5 years experience.
• Experience gained in SARS and/ or tax relating to Estates an advantage
• Related tertiary qualification preferred (preferably with majors in tax, accounts)
• Computer literacy (intermediate): MS Office suite and e-mail
