Job Description

Our Client, a Winery based in the Boland Area is looking for a vibrant, hardworking and dedicated Financial Administrator to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out numerous financial administrative tasks on a daily basis and will also offer support to the financial manager when necessary

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Update bank balance and extract bank statements daily for distribution to numerous departments

* Process bank accounts monthly

* Administrator of BI – Online bank system, Investec and Global International banking. Liaise with ABSA and Investec

* Creditors, foreign payments, Investec payments, salaries and wages and Ad Hoc payments

* Process and recon of Company entities

* Prepare creditors for review by Financial Managers for payment bi-weekly

* Balance control accounts and deal with queries of suppliers

* Foreign creditors: capture and reconcile all foreign suppliers

* Gathers relevant information and documentation for payment as required by Reserve Bank

* EMP201: Gathers and reconcile information

* Compile reports, submit and pay monthly (all companies except restaurants)

* EMP501: Gathers and reconcile information

* Compile reports and submit to SARS twice yearly (May and September)

* Generate IRP5 certificates and upload to ESS. Distribute on request of employees who have no access to ESS

* UIF: Extract reports and submit monthly

* Handle queries and complete forms for employees who left our employ as well as maternity benefit forms for employees going on maternity leave

* WCA: Extract information, complete and submit reports for Department of Labour

* Liaise with our consultants regarding all aspects of claims, payments and general queries. Arrange for instalment agreement if necessary

* TAX DIRECTIVES: Apply when necessary and implement on VIP

* VAT: Release payment on BI-Online system when necessary

* Assist auditors with all their requests pertaining to specified entities.

REQUIREMENTS:

* Grade 12 and relevant tertiary education

* Proven work experience as a Finance Administrator, Finance Assistant or similar role

* Highly numerate and able to analyse statistical information and interpret financial data to produce reports which can be understood by non-financial colleagues

* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written in English and Afrikaans

* Fully Computer literate

* Ability to work at both a detailed and strategic level

* Excellent customer service ethic, Able to work well within a team

* Punctual and reliable

* Good interpersonal skills

* Capable of working independently, using one’s own judgement and solving problems, as and when it arises

* Clean driver’s licence and criminal record

* Deadline driven

* Systems driven and highly organised

* Good understanding of bookkeeping procedures

SALARY:

R15 000 per month 

WORKING HOURS:

Monday – Friday, 08:00 – 17:00.
