Job Description

Front of House Manager opportunity available at one of Paarl’s loved and very busy restaurants.  The ideal candidate will be expected to lead by example and uplift the staff during busy moments in their fast-paced environment.

Ultimately, you will ensure our restaurant runs smoothly and customers have pleasant dining experiences. 

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

* Coordinate daily Front of the House restaurant operations

* Deliver superior service and maximize customer satisfaction

* Respond efficiently and accurately to customer complaints

* Organize and supervise shifts 

* Appraise staff performance and provide feedback to improve productivity 

* Estimate future needs for goods, kitchen utensils and cleaning products 

* Ensure compliance with sanitation and safety regulations

* Manage restaurant’s good image and suggest ways to improve it

* Train new and current employees on proper customer service practices

REQUIREMENTS

* Proven work experience as a Restaurant Manager or similar role

* Proven customer service experience 

* Ability to remember and recall ingredients and dishes to inform customers and waiters

* Reliable, honest, well presentable and punctual

* Good focus on administration & stock management

* Ability to communicate with & manage staff at all levels

* Familiarity with restaurant management software

* Strong leadership, motivational and people skills 

* Clean record

* Own transport essential

Working Hours:

Typical hospitality hours – 45 hours per week in total

Salary:

R8 500 basic salary + tips (R1500 + per month)
